Each year during our study of watersheds, we spend some time at the creek catching macroinvertebrates and other creek creatures to determine the water quality.  The kids LOVE it and so do the teachers!  Some of them have had plenty of experience playing in their backyard creeks, but most of them have not had this opportunity before and they can not get enough of this up close look at nature.
