Pretty scary, huh? Apparently the heat core went bad in the Audi, so instead of taking it to the shop and spending a small fortune, he decided to rip the entire car apart to get to the heat core and replace it. It is not complete yet, but the part has been ordered off of eBay (brand new and a whole lot cheaper) and the coolant has been flushed. The job should be complete this week....we hope.
Why go through all of this? Well, an average rate of $70/hr labor charges plus parts would put us at over $1200 to repair it. Rich is hopefully going to accomplish everything in just less than $100. Fingers crossed that it works!
