Turkey Burger Bowl

If you would have asked me two years ago what my favorite food was I probably would have said bread....warm and toasty with butter on top!  Things have certainly changed around here and I feel so much better when I stay away from bread period.  While everyone else enjoyed turkey burgers on sandwich thins tonight, I changed it up and made myself a turkey burger bowl.  It was delicious!

We eat lean ground turkey several times a week, so tonight we made the burgers with a little low-sodium soy sauce, a few oats, and some shreds of kale.  Since we were short on time and starving we didn't make our own sweet potato fries, but used some frozen ones.

  1. I’ve been using ground turkey for years. I personally don’t like the taste of ground beef. Turkey will take the flavor of any seasoning you add and it is much lighter than beef. These meatballs look fantastic. Whenever I’m making spaghetti my guys always want meatballs. Pinning! Techlazy.com

  4. This looks tasty but might I suggest that you swap cage-free organic for pastured organic. From what I know, it seems like a kinder option.
