The Wedding

Thankfully, the storms came through and then the sun appeared right as Matt and Shannon were about to get married.  This was also good news for those of us who don't do so well in 95 degree weather.  The newlyweds looked gorgeous as usual! After a beautiful ceremony, we were off to the Jefferson Theater for the reception.  Harvest Moon did the catering and we all thought that the food was outstanding.  I was a big fan of the zucchini corn fritters!

After eating dinner and getting in a few too many rum and diet cokes, Rich and I made it out to the dance floor.  It's amazing how well you think you can move after a few drinks even with a boot on one foot and flip flopo on the other!  Hope there are no videos!  I do know that we made fools of ourselves at the photobooth that was set up though.  I don't think there is a better combination, drinks and a camera with a remote to snap as many crazy pictures as you can.  I thought the younger crowd would be going nuts over this, but there are going to be some wild pictures of all ages, including Mimi! HA.  I, for one, can NOT wait to see these shots! I think I have finally recovered after two full days of being exhausted.

I didn't get to take many pictures and the ones I got are pretty rough because of the lighting and the alcohol consumption, but boy did we have fun!

Wish this was a clearer shot, but it was really dark during the reception.

No surprises here.  It only takes a couple of drinks before the talking starts.

The food was delicious.

You know Mimi is serious about dancing when she goes home and changes clothes!

Having a LOT of fun!

Matt & Shannon's Rehearsal Dinner

The day has finally come that these two lovebirds finally get married.  They've been together for what like 10 years now?  Just kidding, but it is time!  They hosted the rehearsal dinner at Ashlawn and Mel's did the catering.  The food was great and other than the 90 degree heat, it was a very nice evening for all.  E and J were glad that they were able to make it and see the rest of the familiy.  I'm excited for the wedding bells to ring tomorrow night!

Getting ready to roll.

More 4th...

I just downloaded some more pictures of the 4th of July.... I couldn't leave out Hailey and her twin, Grandma. Or, the food, or Miss Brooklyn....

I had to partake in more than one hot dog because someone, Evan, didn't thoroughly cook the turkey burgers!

Pasta salad from Beth.

Same grin and all.

Happy 4th of July!

We had a very low-key 4th of July.  Jessica invited a friend over, Beth and Brooklyn came over to visit and my mom stopped by for dinner as well.  We grilled up some burgers and dogs and Hailey had a blast playing with her new best friend and cousin, Brooklyn.  Brooklyn is in town for a couple of weeks so we hope to see plenty of her over the next few days.  J and E leave for NY next Sunday so they have been enjoying their last few days here before 10 days away from home.  Rich and I will have an empty house for the first time in over a year! I'm sure it will be strange, but definitely a much needed break from the crazy schedules that come with teenagers.

We hope everyone had a safe and wonderful 4th of July!

Poolside

Hailey taking Miss Cameron around the pool.
Once again we had another great weekend poolside at the Critzer's house.  Hailey, J and E had a blast swimming and were worn out when we got home.  I think I was able to get in about 20 laps for my cardio workout for the day since we didn't make it to the gym!

Everyone was in on the action.

Rich catching some air while I took cover!

Shaun taking a dive.

E going alligator riding.

Yep, he can fit through there...not sure how though!

Where is Jack?

Thank goodness we broke Jack of his crazy ways when he was a puppy because more often than not he is Hailey's "baby", "puppy", or some other wild character that she torments.  She and Jack and Tank were "camping" in our room last week.  The boys were put in a sleeping bag and were being fed with baby spoons.

The next few pictures of what happens when Hailey decides to "clean up" all of the dog toys.  Where is Jack?!  Luckily, we could find him this time.

Such a good sport.

Kisses

"Uh, can someone help me please?"

Love these two.

Pretty boy.
